They find exhilaration in showing people that there is more to music than image, & mindless jumping around, as well as songs that sound like the same thing rehashed over and over. Zero Kings represent a return to the theory that it takes a little talent to stand out from the crowd.
If you are looking for the Bizket, Manson, or Tool selections, you won’t find them. ZK is a band that knows what it does best. That is straight ahead rockin’ with no flash and flair; a wide variety of material that covers four decades of music…all rock’n’roll. Classic 70’s rockers like Foghat, Blackfoot, Bowie & Zeppelin are represented; 80’s are covered with the likes of Pink Floyd, AC/DC, Autograph & Quiet Riot; 90’s are included with examples like Metallica. Ugly Kid Joe, Great White & Lenny Kravitz; throw in a few current bands like Creed, Lit, Nickelback & Jimmy Eats World and you have a well rounded songlist. We can even add the 60’s with The Beatles & Hendrix!! All in all, you have a band that covers the best in Yesterday’s Rock and Today’s Roll.
Zero Kings consist of four musicians well seasoned in the world of all things music; combining many years of stage experience, touring experience, and life experience. Gone are the days of trying to impress people with tricks, or mirrors. This band prefers to plug in and go.
